Forwarding and delivery
Open Settings → Routing in webmail, or Routing in the mailbox portal.
- Enter destination addresses under Forwarding addresses, one per line.
- Choose Keep a copy in this mailbox to retain incoming messages here as well as forward them, or Forward only when you do not want a local copy.
- Review Discard incoming mail after forwarding carefully. Leave it off when you want local delivery; discarding can remove the local copy you expected to keep.
- Choose Save routing.
- Send a test message from another mailbox and check each destination and the original mailbox.
Forward only requires a destination. To return to ordinary local delivery, remove the forwarding addresses, select Keep a copy in this mailbox, turn off discard, and save.
Avoid forwarding an address back to itself, including through another mailbox. Also avoid configuring the same forwarding destination under Rules & autoresponder: overlapping forwarding can cause duplicate copies.
If mail appears to be missing, check routing and rules before assuming delivery failed.
